Hi, I'm Rina. 👋
I'm a tenacious data analyst and digital media professional with degrees in information science and journalism from the University of Maryland. I like to analyze data, brainstorm and build things.
I'm currently a data analyst at The Washington Post. Previously, I wrote about electric vehicles and tax credits at Forbes, and economics at The Wall Street Journal. I've also developed graphics at NPR and investigated public housing evictions with the Howard Center for Investigative Journalism
I am a proud pioneer of the data desk at The Diamondback, the university's independent student newspaper, where I became the first to hold a data editing position.
I'm comfortable working with R, Python, SQL, HTML, and CSS and am always curious about taking a stab at another language.
When I'm not writing or coding, I'm dribbling my basketball, dancing because nobody's watching or maintaining my Duolingo streak.
